Hmm I made a lightsaber like this for my sith lord without even knowing about this, though I did know you could change the length on any lightsaber.

I'd like to see something like a saber mace, or a heavy saber that would act like a katana. Right now I think they are most comparable to the sort, and long swords. Staffs rock. A saber launcher isn't such a bad idea, though it'd be a waste of crystals. and one might as well just fire laser beams. laser stars could be interesting, but it would be far more expendable, a small disc that forms a star shaped blade around it. Interesting. As long as they don't get people who have an incredibly rediculous amount, or realy freaky sabers.

Still.....I want a big bloody light saber. Like the Final Fantasy sword (not too certian which FF it is...maybe 7), but what would be the coolest is a saber like the Tetsusaiga from the Inuyasha series. Where it would start off as a regular light saber, but has the ability to quadruple its size...not just length but width. Freakin' sweet!

theres a reference to force lances in one of the tales of the jedi books. seems a long, archaic thing with a cord attached to a power pack on the back of the wielder. the hilt is a little longer than a meter, the blade extends a couple of meters away. used during a siege or mass combat (just don't get close)

Funny, a lance would totally destroy a light saber in a duel, if real combat is anything to take into consideration...

As a lightsider I used either a single green or a double bladed green. When I was darkside I used a double bladed red. My favorite would have to be a traditional single bladed green lightsaber. The green color saber goes with the brown robes quite nicely.
