I think that they referred to original game where you indeed cooperate with other players

Then the sentence structure would need to be different. 

 

At the very least it's highly confusing, borderline promising a game-mode that doesn't exist (yet).

You are correct, the way that's worded is pretty misleading.

It also clearly lists the game as being "Single-player".

 

I'm not saying that the ad copy shouldn't be reworded to be clearer, but you can only infer a potential multiplayer element if you ignore the rest of the steam page.

The problem is a lot of people will do just that, and give the game a lower review, which is not cool. So I hope someone fixes it sooner rather than later.
