I think there may be a bug between Seoni's powers and the staff of hungry shadows

According to her Arcane Blast power "For your combat check, you may discard a card to use your Arcane skill +1d6 +.... and add the Fire trait and the Attack and Magic traits.  This counts as playing a spell"

Also worth noting - the Staff of Hungry Shadows says "When you play a spell that has the Attack trait, you may reveal this card and discard a spell to add 1d8+2 to your check.  If you succeed at the check, recharge a random card from your discard pile"

This means that you should be able to activate the staff of Hungry shadows any time you use the Arcane Blast power (since that counts as "playing a spell with the attack trait"), provided you have a spell to discard.

But I've played multiple times, and I've never been able to activate it using Arcane Blast.

Anyone else observed this?

BTW - my current setup for this

6 person team on an android phone, and had the team in the following order

Kyra

Seoni

Valeros

Lem

Sajan

Seelah

It depends on if count as a spell is same as a spell. Have to check faq for this.

The only thing I can think of is maybe playing a spell that adds the Attack trait is different from playing a spell that has the Attack trait? That would be pretty dumb if true though.

Otherwise, yes, you ought to be able to use the staff with her power.
