So I noticed when fighting the ghost or the spector. Certain characters who have the divine trait, ie the ranger with the skill or even the druid, and the paladin. When I have encountered the ghost or the spector I roll for the divine and when I pass it does not defeat the monster instead it gets shuffled back in.

Both the Ghost and Spectre have the text: "If the check to defeat does not have the Magic trait, the [monster] is undefeated."

Just because you are doing a Wisdom/Divine check, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a Wisdom/Divine check with the Magic trait.

Even if the monster is reshuffled, at least you'll pass the check without taking damage.  Thematically, just imagine that those characters have the ability to Turn Undead.  The monster was warded off (back into the deck), but not destroyed.

In addition to what Ethics said - the only character who can Defeat such monsters with the Divine check is Kyra - she has a power that adds a bonus die *with the Magic trait* to her checks against Undead.

You can use the 'Mark Solved' button beneath a post that answers your topic or confirms it's not a bug.

The time that devs don't have to spend on the forum is a time they can spend on fixing the game.

Seelah gets the same ability as a power later on (when she doesn't need it 'cos her weapons should all be magical by then). The number of times that I've forgotten that Lini in particular doesn't defeat undead with her huge wisdom checks... It's even worse when you've carefully stacked a deck and then you forget!  :banghead:
