Google Spammed Robo Sales Calls to My Private Phone. My Number Is on the No Call List. I reported to FTC. FTC called back.

Google Plus called me from 1-323-503-1761. My phone number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry of the Federal Trade Commission. I have just checked the registry, and my registration is still valid. So I immediately filed a complaint with the FTC:

 

I received a robo call from Google. Yes, Google.

 

When I got the call, I waited for the robo message to finish. Then I press 1 to speak to a lady and repeatedly asked her what company she was calling from. She refused to tell me the name of her company, and kept repeating, "Are you a business?" When I said no, she hang up immediately.

 

I called back the number, 1-323-503-1761, and I got an automated message, "Hi, this is Kate, Google Plus local specialist!" I do not even use a Google Plus account. I provided my number as a security for my Google account, for in case I lose my password. I did not provide my number for Google to make robo marketing calls to me.

 

It's Google. They have money. They just recently made the news for evading taxes in the US by stacking their money on foreign soils. So go shake them down and teach them a lesson on spamming US taxpayers' phone numbers.

 

 

I provided my contact information to the Federal Trade Commission in my complaint. Well, a FTC representative just called me back to get more information. Seems like they recognize a jackpot when they see it.
