Vicious Trident discarding broken?

When I try to play Vicious Trident no prompt to discard a card for it appears. And I can't cancel the Trident, unless I go to the main menu and continue the game from there. Happens both on revealing and discarding the Trident.

Hmmm... No prompt. Can you trag a card manually to discard pile?

I've tried doing this - no, this way it won't work either.

I remeber it working once - before 1.3.0.6, I think, but can't remember exactly when (and have no screenshot, of course).
