In the physical rules you can have two different characters take the two checks if the boss has multiple, so long as the character that encounters does one of them. Is this purposely no longer the case? I just got face wrecked by Nualia because Ezren only had one spell and Amiri couldn't take the second combat check.

When appropriate, there's something you can click at the top of the screen to let another character roll one of the checks for you. It works, I've used it.

Awesome, thanks. I'll have to keep an eye out.

It's the same purple Icon they use to hand a card to another person, I think.  But it's not in the upper right where the turn-phase selection buttons are...  It's top center in the skill selection/detail area.

"I need a lie-down" is the new "I'll be in my bunk..."

Yep, i clicked it by mistake! I didn't know you coud split the check between members on the same place. Something not mentioned in the tutorial. Since there is a looooooooong time since i played the game it was a nice finding!

The person who encountered the card has to take at least ONE check, but otherwise, the other folks at the location can, indeed, pitch in.

"I need a lie-down" is the new "I'll be in my bunk..."

Wow, I completely missed that. Thanks for mentioning it here. I haven't played the physical game and it wasn't mentioned in the tutorial in PA.

We're going to update that part of the UI Soon™, but in the meantime, as mentioned above, there's a button up there already. Here's a screenshot:
