In a combat without weapons I tried to use Lini's wild shape ability to discard a card to pump her Strength to d10

 

However this ability kept defaulting to Dexterity and wasn't useful

 

I clicked the red X a half dozen times and finally it went to Strength.

 

Is there any way to ensure what Stat you are pumping before you do it? (Ie am I missing something)

I had a similar issue using a blessing from another character. Instead of doubling a d12 roll, it forced me to triple a d4 because of the top of the blessing discard. Super obnoxious.

Click that part of screen that tells the skill. You can change that skill manually.

This would remove the blessing. Going back and trying to reapply the blessing changes the skill choice.

Actually I meant to mention

 

It just showed Combat d4 not that it was derived from Strength (which it usually does I think?)

Combat is always based on strength unless some special power says otherwice.

Like weapon or Special feat (like Sajan has)

Linis special ability allows her to change her strength or agility die to d10. It does not give her ability to use agility in the combat!
