TWL_Nick Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I loved PoE and plowed though it back when it came out of beta on a hard difficulty setting. Now that The White March is out I'd like to return to it and play the expansion. However I found myself really bouncing off the game when I gave it a shot again. I think this is because a lot of the skills and systems in the game have been reworked over the past year and also because there are just so many skills and spells when you're jumping in to play high level characters (and I just don't remember which ones are good). Does anyone have suggestions on how to ease back in to the game after an extended break? I looked at a lot of the Steam guides and didn't see anything particularly useful (but maybe I missed a good one). Thanks for your advice!
Marceror Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I just came back after about a year's break. I don't remember things very well either. But, I'm finding that it's okay to just pick whatever feels good. Combat isn't that hard, and if you really mess up, you can always retrain your talents (which was added in a patch at some point). So my advice is not to sweat it too much. 2 "Now to find a home for my other staff."My Project Eternity Interview with Adam Brennecke
wanderon Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 You could always jump in at the start and work your way up then after you take that party through the expansion go back to your original group - there are after all lots of different choices to make going through the game a second time. 2 Nomadic Wayfarer of the Obsidian Order Not all those that wander are lost...
