I dont think its very complicated to make a fix for it, why they didnt do that? This bug is gamebreaking they should have fixed it asap in 3.01. One cast of detonate will pretty much overcap your focus...

They generate focus upon hitting.

Amplified Thrust was reported forever ago and multiple times (don't know about the other one) so chances are it's intended--otherwise Josh would have fixed it when he did the pass on Ciphers for 3.0.

It is definitely not intended. Amplified Thrust is like 70 damage weapon with 1 sec attack speed because you can spam it forever and u get it on lvl 3 which is crazy OP. Detonate crush damage also generates focus so when it hits 3-4 enemies u end up with capped focus.

Well if people find it OP, let them balance™ it by reducing the amount of generated focus. But i really like the idea that some cipher spells (maybe tied to damage type) to regenerate focus on successful hit. It just makes the whole cypher experience much more fluent.

But you still get alternating weapon attacks and magic with the current mechanic. Not every Amplified Thrust connects or generates enough focus to recast it.

Would be nice to hear something from the devs on that matter.
