The Old Watcher quest will not update properly if certain dialogue choices are used.

 

When you meet steward for the first time you will have three options:

 

1: "I'm looking for Maerwald."

2: "Who's that speaking."

3: "You know what I am?"

 

Only first option give you XP and quest update in the journal.

Sorry for the late response. This is intended. Option 1 is the correct choice in progressing the quest. Options 2 and 3 are just dialogue options directed towards the Steward and not Maerwald.

But why? If you choose second or third options,first one can't be selected at all,so you miss out comletely XP and journal update. Knowing this why do I even wan't to choose 2 or 3 options if they will force me to miss things???
