Topic says it all. It updated fine, but game version still shows 2.0. The save and load times did not improve at all and now when I load the game, everything is pink... WTH?

I have the same problem as well running it on Windows. Although the installer says the patch was installed, the version is the main menu did not get updated. And everything is pink.

Try downloading and installing the base game patch first, then install TWM patch afterwards.
