Hey guys.  I am noticing that Liberating Exhortation is having delayed effects when placed on a character AFTER he has taken CERTAIN debuffs.  For debuffs like blind, rogue raw damage, plague of insects it works immediately.  For debuffs like Paralyze, knockdown and Petrify it works but with a large delay.  I had GM get critted by a Pillar of Faith and get knocked down for 18 seconds and placed Liberating Exhortation on her after she received the debuff.  It took her 9 seconds to get up after receiving the debuff and I know she didn't get hit by another one..  Output log is attached and here is the link to my dropbox.

Bump. Important

Have gun will travel.

Are you sure it's a large delay and not just the effect wearing off normally?

I've noticed a problem with suppress affliction effects completely not working with paralyze effects.

Maybe it is.  But I do now that it works immediately with some afflictions and not with others.

anyone

Have gun will travel.

It's been reported several times, and as far as I can tell no explicit acknowledgement by developers. It's possible they already know about it so they aren't commenting, but it's kind of a bummer that this has been around for a long time.

I have an update thee.  So I was in the Endless paths and had my party get paralyzed a few times. Used Liberating Exhortation and they snapped out of it immediately.  Also Liberating Exhortation and Suppress affliction suspend the debuff so it cannot run its course to free the victim.  It has to be the buff not to the debuff.

Here you can see Pallegina who was paralyzed.  I buffed her with liberating exhortation and she immediately got out of it.  Like we said though they always get the Petrify debuff symbol over their head even though they are free and fighting.

And bump :/

I've noticed this as well, where suppress affliction bugs out against certain status effects that are stacked.

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the delay, things have been really busy here. Could you reupload those files Torm? Looks like the link you posted isnt a shareable one. It requires me to log in.

Thanks!

No problem Aarik I figured you guys would be knee deep in it this week.  Here is the link for the shared file.

The issue seems to be that certain debuffs it takes Liberating Exhortation and Supress Affliction a while to kick in.  Its obviously not the debuff time running out as the buffs suspend them.  Also at times afterward the debuff will resume (as it should).  The debuffs I noticed are:  Knock down, Paralyze (sometimes it works perfectly others the Petrify symbol is above the characters head and shortly after it works as intended) and lastly Petrify.

Here is Liberating Exhortation not working right away.  When the buff had about 9 seconds left it started to work.

Here is Liberating working but having the petrify symbol and the brief delay before it starts working.

Hey Torm,

Sorry to bug you buddy, do you happen to have a save you can upload right before you start the blood legacy fight or any of the fights in your screenshots? The save you gave me is at the Great Hall and you already completed the quest.

Thanks.

Its cool Aarik happy to help.  I always play trial of iron..probably a bad thing with a new patch but I do have one other save. I am not sure if its before or after the quest.  Here you go.

bump to ensure Aarik gets this.  They are (Liberating Exhortation and Suppress Affliction)  are working well but there are a few debuffs they act wonky.

Hey Torm!

I have confirmed your bug and added it to our database. It looks like that Liberating Exhortation is not actually suppressing prone/stuck/paralyze when it saying it does.

Thank you and keep up the good work!

Hey thanks for the work.  Suppress Affliction is doing the same.  It does the same for Petrify. Also if you check for paralyze and stuck sometimes it WILL get them out of the debuff just not right away.
