This is in readrics keep. This chest was trapped. When I discovered the trap, the mouse turned into the "disarm trap" icon, as it should be. My skill was not good enough to disarm it. I left the area and most likely I loaded the game several times. Later I came back with higher skill. When I put the mouse over the red (trapped) chest, the mouse became the "open" icon and not the "disarm trap" icon. I was able to disarm the the trap and get the loot without problems.

In version 1.04 there was a trap that also used the "open" icon. But there it was always so and I never saw the "disarm" icon.

Expected behaviour: You should always see the "disarm" symbol over a trap.

Do you still get the normal cursor when you switch to scouting mode? This behavior sometimes appears in normal walk mode, but I've never seen it while scouting.

If I'm typing in red, it means I'm being sarcastic. But not this time.

Dark green, on the other hand, is for jokes and irony in general.

Sorry, I do not know anymore if I was in scouting mode while disarming.

It is likely that I was not in scouting mode when I came back later (all enemies were gone and I knew that there is a trap), but I am not sure.

Hey Madscientist,

gkathellar is correct. If you are not in scouting mode, then the cursor will be the same. You can only disarm traps while in scouting mode.
