Dogma18 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 As you can read from Hirbel's Protective Skin below that it is Pierce-proofed but the pierce reduction isn't applied in the defence section on the bottom left. Here is another item with wrong text description and subtext out of alignment.
0 Insolentius Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 The "bug" with DR has been explained many times. Hirbel's Protective Skin is a Scale Armor. Base DR = 7 || Pierce DR = Base DR * 0.75 = 7 * 0.75 = 5.25 = 5 (rounded down) ... when you add the "fine" enchantment... Base DR = 7 + 2 = 9 || Pierce DR = Base DR * 0.75 = 9 * 0.75 = 6.75 = 7 (rounded up) ... when you add the "pierce-proofed" enchantment, it adds +3 DR to the base DR value only for the purposes of deriving the Pierce DR value Base DR = 7 + 2 + 3 = 12 || Pierce DR = Base DR * 0.75 = 12 * 0.75 = 9 The value of "9" isn't mentioned explicitly because it's identical to the base DR value after the enchantments have been applied. It may sound convoluted, but that's the way the system was designed. 1
