Anyone else bummed about abilities like second chance and unbroken counting the knockout?

Thought that it wouldn't count since they prevent the fighter from being truly knocked out. Well I'm pretty obsessive about having no knockouts but stuff like unbroken is really good. Maybe that was the trade off

Not really. A knock out is a knock out, you can keep fighting but it doesn't change the fact that your endurance was brought down to zero before. You do fall down... You're just determined enough to get back up.
