First two for my dps monk were obvious (Lesser Wounds + Two Weapons). After that I've no idea what to do. But this doesn't have to be monk-only discussion.

Perhaps this is a "good balance" but none of the remaining talents seem like obvious choices. And many seem marginally useful. Some I hear are bugged and thus useless.

I could really use some feedback, and perhaps a ranking of talents the way race and class rankings were made in the forum. Right now I payed attention to Vulnerable Attack as some suggested it, but not sure what to think of it as results differ a lot. Many talents show an increase or decrease in something but I don't know how much that means in practice (-5% accuracy translates to how much less hit chance vs tougher enemies?). Oh, and, I'm not taking Weapon Mastery yet as I don't know what weapon I'll use.

I thinke aome abilities are better for offense and defense. Some better for melee vs ranged. Etc.

Lol, you need to mark spoilers!

I have been asking the same question as the OP. But it depends on what you want to do with the character. I am playing a barbarian for instance and I am trying to decide what melee talents would best help improve my dps. There are only about 4 I think I will end up taking, maybe 5. But I am choosing them over class talents. I am playing a barbarian with carnage and dps in mind. So I am taking envonomed strike to poison large groups hopefully. Savage attack for +20% damage for -5 accuracy. Took dual wield talent for 20% increased attack speed. Might take vulnerable strike. Was debating on bloody slaughter or ruffian weapon focus. But I will probably take neither one. Skipping all but one or two barbarian class talents.

Took dual wield talent for 20% increased attack speed

I'm fairly certain the dual wielding talent is actually just a 20% reduction in recovery frame times, despite what the tooltip says.

When tested, it completely negated the recovery penalty while wearing padded armor (-20% recovery) -- but it did not decrease total attack frame times beyond that.

Anyways, I think the only monk skill I'd avoid is lightning strikes due to the problematic way that secondary damage interacts with DR (secondary damage always uses 25% of DR in damage calculation no matter what).

Found my post about two weapon talent:

...there was zero attack speed difference between:

a) daggers (dual-wielding), 10 dex, naked

b) daggers (dual-wielding), 10 dex, padded armor (-20%), talent: two weapon style

Wait what? So I dont get 20% faster attack speed but less since it affects only recovery? Is there anything in this game that works according to the tooltip?

And btw why reroll? Just use console to change it, if its not bugged like in my case sometimes.

Looks like im gonna end up with Deep Pockets because everything else seems less useful.

So naked two weapon fighting is just as fast as two weapon fighting wearing padded armor? As in it does nothing if you are not slowed by armor?
