Is there any analysis on the talents?  I tried Arcane Veil on my first build, but realized that since there's a 2nd-level spell that gives lots of deflection the Veil will likely be a wasted talent later in the game.  Or am I mistaken?

 

Similarly, is grimoire slam worth it?  Blast?  I'm honestly feeling like it might be worthwhile to take some utility or defensive talents instead.

blast is a passive so i always take that

I took arcane veil as well.

Im not that far into the game but it seems a wise decision. Its a decent defelction buff that doesn't come out of your spell pool=more uses for other spells

I like Blast and Bonus Spells.
