Will the game feature a physics\ragdoll\collision system?

I don't quite understand. You don't need a physics engine for a flight spell. This is an isometric game, there's no vertical space.

2d isometric. All those pretty landscapes? Completely flat with a mesh over them to define walls/cliffs etc.

2D. No camera rotation no nothing. Baldur's Gate style with zoom. Oh, characters are 3D.

ahhhh, that's my wrong assumption.

as you said, however, backgrounds are very pretty. also characters.
