Happeend yesterday on me....dismissed it as perhaps one of those things.

 

Just loaded the beta up...gone to change areas and get stuck on the black screen with 'Loading' in the bottom right.  Have to actually shut down the game in order to get out of it.  Had this happen to me twice now in the last 5 minutes....

Yup, very likely. Had this happen to me, the autopause triggers before game finishes loading all the text, models and art. It's likely the boar companions dying over and over when you revisit the town. All you see is a black screen and a cursor, so you think you're stuck
