Bug: Skull key can't be used to unlock skull keyhole

So the skull key you get at cavern from dead cultist, you can't actually use it to open dungeon entrance for some reason. It simply doesn't appear as option when examining the keyhole

 

Expected behavior: Using skull key to open dungeon entrance without lockpicking or pushing

I had the same issue and reloading the game seemed to fix it.
