Bazy Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) 1) I've only tried a few combinations but it appears that consumables (ie food) are stackable. This is very overpowered and encourages some pretty annoying meta-gaming/skyrim style pot chugging during combat to instantly become uber powerful. At the very least would think one effect limit per category at a time would be appropriate, food/drink/potion/scroll 2) Consumables, in general, are very overpowered in this original release. (ie 200 hp/s stam regen) Additionally, there is the skyrim style insta-heal pots available. This again encourages drinking gallons of potions to stay alive during combat Skyrim style. I am surprised to see these in the game. Especially after seeing Mr. Sawyer's view about consumables in general and his mod for Fallout (removing insta-heals to heals over time). Though the health/stam system does alleviate this to an extent 3) On a related note, there is a lot of overlap between the role of potions and food. That is both have relatively short term buffs (a few minutes). I would think it would make more sense and better gameplay to see food and potions be divided a bit better. Traditionally food buffs would provide long term buffs (1 day) and not usable in combat, while potions would be short term (minutes), but usable in combat. 4) Another related note, I haven't noticed NPCs using consumables during combat so I'm not sure if they do. It would be awesome if they did. Kind of sucks when my group are the only people in the world to use consumables during combat. Edited August 19, 2014 by Bazy

Also, hopefully drinking (powerful) healing potions has a substantial recovery time.
