Xenogears was a good game aside from the budget issues and flagrant attempts to emulate Neon Genesis Evangelion's shallow Judeo-Christian symbolism. And the standard JRPG unwinnable story fights that can be won but the story stays the same.

That said, Xenosaga was terrible (I never played past the first one, it was so bad,) and I don't have a Wii U. Besides, I get more than enough mecha satisfaction from SRW.

Didn't like Xenosaga I either (Though, I know a lot who did), Xenosaga II was way worse, Xenosaga III is really great.

Loved Xenoblade though and its probably my favourite Xeno- title, for once it also managed to have a pretty great translation. Player-controlled mechs weren't in it though :(. I'm happy that they are making a return.

Even if I don't buy a Wii U anytime soon, I'll probably pick up the game. In a worst case scenario, I'll use an emulator on PC in a few years.

By the way Labadal. Do you think this will be a sequel to Xenoblade? The guy at the end looks dangerously close to Shulk

(or Zanza)

I personally don't think it will be a sequel even if they might have some tie ins. The Xeno games usually don't have any connection other than sinilar themes.

I would personally not be bothered if it is Xenoblade 2 though.

Yeah, but that had more to do with licensing. Originally both Xenogears and Xenosaga were meant to be part of something bigger (And sadly didn't (really) work out on both)

Xenoblade wasn't. But maybe Takahashi got enough hope to try it again.
