Gibbscape_Torment
Karphyn's ME novels are poorly done. The writing is very amateurish, and his stories are extremely cliche. The dialogue honestly had me rolling my eyes on a regular basis. I liked Gaider's novels much better. He has a much better grasp of the english language and his latest novel was very well paced. I honestly think Avellone will hit it out the park.
Sensuki
That said Mass Effect 2 was a pretty fun game. Cliche's or not.
Veca
What is it you guys dont like about Drew Karpyshyn's writing ? I have myself only read the Darth Bane Trilogy, and found it a immensely good read. Havent read any of his other works. Do not, under any circumstances, read his BG2 novelisation. Ohh be quite sure I wont, I made the mistake of trying to read the Baldurs Gate 1 novel, hot damn it was soooo bad.
Shardbearer
I hope they recognize the need for a good editor. Even the best writers need one. You can always tell when a writer's popularity starts outpacing the editor's power. (I'm looking at you, ghost of Robert Jordan!)
