I'm not asking if the PC version will work . Rather would FO work as a PSVita game ? SquareEnix have been rerealising the old classics on the PSP/DS/3DS. And on the handhelds they don't look anywhere near as aged as they do on a big screen.

I have no idea who owns what with regards to IP's but is the idea worth considering?

I used the PSVita because it's the latest one but PSP/3DS any of them are fine.

With the power the Vita possesses, it would actually be possible to port (a slightly downscaled) Fallout 3 to it. I know that's not what you were asking, but that would be immensely impressive.

You could probably do a portable cut down FO3-lite type of thing, there would certainly be a bunch of concerns in terms of loading and streaming in data. You could most definitely do FO/FO2 on any modern handheld, potentially with some art reduction - be it iPad, iPhone, a good Android phone, Vita, DS, 3DS whatever.

This makes me want to go see if there is a Droid version of DOS-Box just to see how it runs, but I can't be bothered.

I came up with Crate 3.0 technology.

Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.

With the power of PS Vita that circulate all over the world it would possibly run a pc emulator and run old games like FO3 and others. I guess there is nothing wrong if you will try.
