Labadal Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I got Risen, it's garbage. I just can't get over the bad voice acting. Everyone talks very slowly, like they were hit on the head, or maybe a result of island in-breeding ?. They sure spend a lot of time going on about the bleedin' obvious. I have taken to pressing escape instantly and then trying to reverse engineer the conversation from my list of replies, then checking the journal if it was a quest. I guess I can gift it. (j/k) Weird, I did play Risen after Two Worlds, so in retrospect that might have made me more tolerant of the voice work. Two Worlds was just horrific, Risen seemed serviceable to me. I don't get it either, the voice acting was ok to me. But I can see how some people wouldn't like it.
Maria Caliban Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Some people are very picky about voice acting. Then again, some people complained about Annah's fake accent in Planescape and Leliana's fake accent in Dragon Age: Origins, so one can be both pick and have a tin ear. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
Gorgon Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It's not all retarded, just most of it. Could be worse I suppose. Anyway I got tired of all the micromanagement that is apparently a big part of the appeal for most people. Don't get me wrong, the more ways you can interact with the environment the better, these all add to the game, but can I just have a button to press instead of going into the inventory and eating 20 sausages - one at a time - to recuperate from my last encounter. Logic dictates that there is a skill trainer out there somewhere who can teach you to take a dump and another harder to find one who can teach you to wipe your arse. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
HoonDing Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 but can I just have a button to press instead of going into the inventory and eating 20 sausages - one at a time - to recuperate from my last encounter. You could add them to your quickbar and/or just use the sausages to make one or two health potions. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
