Guard Dog Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I was stationed there and Okinawa when I was in the military. Okinawa was nice and the folks were friendly. Japan was crowded, expensive, and most people were harried, hurried and stressed. But I did have fun there. I learned a little Japanese while I was there and that goes a long way. They love slot machines there, there is a slots casino (pachinko) on every street and you can buy a designer watch, a pair of sunglasses and an iced coffee out of the same vending machine. And they love baseball. There is nothing wrong with that! "While it is true you learn with age, the down side is what you often learn is what a damn fool you were before" Thomas Sowell
