RNH Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I bought neverwinter nights 2 and when I was installing it I typed the CD code wrong. When I corrected an error came up and said it was the wrong code. Is there any way I can correct this?
Matthew Rorie Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Let me ask around and see if I can get an answer for you. It shouldn't give you a permanent error if you put the code in wrong. Just make sure that you're not mistaking Os for 0s or something like that, too. Were you ever able to install the game, or is this happening before you complete the install? Matthew Rorie

Also, are you using NWN2 Gold? If so, in some of the manuals, the codes for Mask of the Betrayer and the Original Campaign got switched around. You might need to use the MOTB code for the Original Campaign, and vice versa. Matthew Rorie
RNH Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 No I tried installing it on a different computer that didn't have the 3D hardware requirements met and it installed perfectly fine. It is just the one computer that it stopped working on which is the only computer that I have that can play it.
Matthew Rorie Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Is it not installing on your computer, or is it installing and then not running? Matthew Rorie
Gorgon Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 That shouldn't happen. Have you ever had an 'ahem' less than perfectly legal version of the game installed on your 3d computer. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
Deadly_Nightshade Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 That shouldn't happen. But it does - and it's often related to DRM not getting along with another program you have on your PC (id est Nero or a DVD/CD Emulator). I would try another disc with the same version of SecuROM, if you have one, and see if the same trigger is activated. If so you know what the problem is and, if not, you've ruled that out one possible issue. "Geez. RNH Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Is it not installing on your computer, or is it installing and then not running? no its not even installing on that computer. before the installation when it asks for a CD code it won't accept the code from the manual. The first time I tried to install it I typed in the code wrong and then it wouldn't accept the code anymore.

Thanks for the help and I will tell you if it works when playing
Matthew Rorie Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Cool, I'm glad. Yeah, the code switch in the manual was an error on the printer's part. Sorry for the confusion! Matthew Rorie
Deadly_Nightshade Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Cool, I'm glad. Yeah, the code switch in the manual was an error on the printer's part. Sorry for the confusion! At least it had the right codes. Some NA versions of NWN I: Diamond shipped with no codes at all... "Geez.
