kingofsquid
I am hoping to soon get TSL for PC (because of the mods, obviously) Can XP handle TSL? I saw something on this computer earlier called Program Compatibility Wizard. Could that help?
Deadly_Nightshade
XP will work with The Sith Lords and, in fact, is the best OS for the game. What about the other requirements? Do you have the graphics card and RAM? "Geez. HoonDing
Unless your computer is ancient (pre 2005), it should run fine on XP. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
kingofsquid
How do you find that? Wait. Give me a second..... No, cannot find the graphics card and RAM. This thing has played Diner Dash and Star Wars: Force Commander. Should this thing be able to play TSL if it can play that? Deadly_Nightshade
Maybe. If not you can always upgrade as well - getting a system that would run The Sith Lords would not cost that much. "Geez. cogadh
Run a DirectX Diagnostic, it will give you all the pertinent information about the system's hardware. Simply click Start > Run > type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) > click OK. When the diagnostic finishes running, the system RAM will be listed on the System tab while the video card info can be found on the Display tab. Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of War! HoonDing
That should be alright... but I'm not sure how well XP works with 256 MB RAM... The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
cogadh
That video card is absolutely NOT alright. Not only is the ATI 128 family specifically listed as incompatible in the game's system requirements, it is only an 8MB card, while the game requires at minimum a 32MB video card. Sorry to say, but that machine is incapable of playing this game. Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of War!
Deadly_Nightshade
Ouch. Oh well, it should be cheap to upgrade to a slightly better, TSL friendly GPU. "Geez. cogadh
Unlikely, it has an ATI 128 Mobility... that means laptop. Given the age of that particular card/chipset, I seriously doubt this is a "gaming laptop" that has upgradable graphics. Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of War! Deadly_Nightshade
Opps, my bad. I guess I had on a hat of -10 reading comprehension there. "Geez. kingofsquid
Crapcrapcrapcrap!!!!!!!!!! Ah, welll, there is always my grandparents computer, which is the one that played Diner Dash and Force Commander. (wrote from 2 differen computers) Started this on that computer. And no, this is not a gaming laptop. It can play Warcraft 3, although that is unimportant..... Edited July 21, 2009 by kingofsquid
