One local store (er, which I'm in no way affiliated with apart from buying from them on occasion) is offering a guide book. So there are some pre order bonuses around.

I'm curious about this as well. I plan on buying a disk version(non download copy) unless it requires steam for authentication in which case I won't be buying it.

I went to GamersGate to check out Alpha Protocol and happened upon Drakensang. I saw it was called Drakensang: The Dark Eye and cost 30

I don't really know why gamestop decided to do this. If you really wanted to know i guess you could contact them about it.

You guys whine too much. We dont get any pre-order bonuses around here regardless of the platform.

They do it because they want to have something extra over the download versions to keep their dying business model on life support until it finally withers and dies.
