ramza Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 A very well done software that emulates the Lone Wolf books. I am currently in book II but I am also stuck because I cannot find a magical spear. http://www.projectaon.org/staff/david/download.php http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=32850 "Ooo, squirrels, Boo! Purkake Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 It's also available for DS homebrew. I checked it out, but didn't really play around with it.
GreasyDogMeat Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Used to love those books. Thought they should make a game out of the series, then I heard they were. Then I heard it was a MMO.
ramza Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 I am in book III right now. It is nearly impossible to complete book II if you don't have the Animal Kinship discipline. Bad design... Only way I could beat it was by taking the spear from the wounded 'man'. Even then the battle was ridiculously hard and involved multiple saves and loads. It gets MUCH easier as you go though.
ramza Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 What? I found no spear on his corpse... Did I have to fight the little creatures that killed him or what? Anyway, I am in book V now and I agree that the game becomes extremely easy after the second one, especially when you get the mighty uber magical sword of death... "Ooo, squirrels, Boo! GreasyDogMeat Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 You should have the option to pull the spear out when you find him. If you take the right path instead of the left and you don't have animal kinship you are basically screwed as you eventually reach the tunnel with two paths that both lead to an enemy who kills you instantly without the spear. Note that I'm talking about a 'dying man' you meet on the road a few sections before the tunnel. I didn't have animal kinship so I couldn't speak to the little creatures in the tunnel.
