It does have the odour of blackmailing/hostage taking about it. You give us the money and if we feel generous, some of it might even benefit those who need it the most.

Natural Disasters = Effective Population Control

 

1. That's just not born out by the facts. Most natural disasters don't seriously affect population. Exception with be meteorites, and the odd volcanic eruption.

I have to agree with Walsh. We just had our own natural disaster here in Iowa last night. A mile wide tornado ripped through a town called Parkersburg. Only 7 dead, which given the size of the tornado if could have been worse, but with a lot of property damage to go with it.
