BREAKING NEWS: NEW SONIC DARK BROTHERHOOD PREVIEW

Featured Replies

It's a fair point though, CRPGs are as 'mainstream' as they are now thanks mostly to bioware.

Black Isle et al might have made better games, subject to opinion, but it's Bioware thats really put CRPGs on the map.

Don't forget Fallout. I think both arrived at just the right time and I wouldn't give ALL the cred to Bioware. I love both games for slightly different reasons but I have just a bit more for the old Fallout as it came out a bit before Bioware and was the first RPG that made me realize they could be 'cool' and fun.

I was thinking about that, they cirtainly left a lasting impression but they are far from being mainstream, esspesally by todays standards.

On the other hand, i've had friends play KotoR who don't have a clue about d20 or CRPGs in general. It's stealth mainstream, sure, but it's still mainstream.

I had no clue what the d20 system was when I bought KotOR. I didn't really figure any of that stuff out until K2 came out.

Yeah, but you were eight when Kotor came out and hadn't gotten help with you dark purpose.

People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.

EXCUSE ME, I was 11 when KotOR came out

that's right, DOUBLE DIGITS MOTHATRUCKAAA
