February 13, 200818 yr So yeah, it would be like, totally rad and stuff if there was an aliens rpg map editor/toolset thingy. Ideally the community could make new maps, environments, import textures, etc, as well as change or add existing weapons, abilities, skills, classes, enemies, etc. Maybe even make a more high end toolset thingy kinda like in nwn1 and 2 where people can make their own adventures set in the aliens universe. At the very least, the game developers can just be like "make it yourself in the toolset, nublet!" when people make asinine suggestions! I would also like to take this opportunity to say that I like explosions and ponies. I have the strength of a bear that has the strength of TWO bears!
February 14, 200818 yr I'm not sure about a public release-oriented toolset, but I will say that our current (homebrewed) toolset is great, a very nice step up from the NWN2 toolset (though not based on the NWN2 toolset codebase). twitter tyme

Well, I hope you guys release it, ideally as an official supported element of the game but if not just release it as an unsupported unofficial "Obsidian is cool and wants to support the community" tool. Pretty much every game that lives on for years as a dynasty has a publicly available toolset doohickey! February 25, 200818 yr As a modder, I'd be extremely interested in having some form of map-making(even if it's just slotting map segments together) or scenario-creation abilities available. Even more desirable would be that sort've thing in a multiplayer capability, but from a singleplayer point of view alone, the stories aliens fans could tell with a proper RPG and toolset would really extend the life and interest of the game a great deal.
February 25, 200818 yr It would certainly allow for fleshing out the game universe with new planets, bugs, weapons etc. Although I'm sometimes keptical of how dragonballz some mods are. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
