The topic was not written in abrasive style and I even mentioned how much I liked the Aliens franchise, though I argued that it does not seem to provide a wide enough variety of enemies for a CRPG, although conceding that this could be rectified with some creativity at some risk of diluting the feel of the franchise though. In any case, I came back today and the thread is completely gone. Where has it disappeared?

Sure, it was not a long post, so I can post it again easily. I did not do so, because I did not want to break any rules thinking that perhaps my thread may have been removed. If that's not the case, don't waste your time investigating it - it will take me about 2 minutes to simply create it again, so it's absolutely not worth it.

I think you have discovered the true cause of the disappearance! I bow to your wisdom on the topic of summoning magic - I guess there is a reason why I am just a humble 3rd level conjurer and you are an arch-mage. Clearly, I am at only apprentice-level for the moment, but I will seek to learn from the masters to eventually join their ranks! Mind you, the duration time was longer than 3 rounds, so I guess I must at least have above-average potential for my level.

My primary school of magic is Enchantment which grants spellposters great influence over their fellow forumites. Spell effects including Charm, Domination and Confusion are but some of the many cards us Enchanters possess in our repertoire. Given the great amount of n00ber-based types strutting around these boards, mind-effecting spells prove very effective in overcoming their laughable will-saves.

 

I have on occasion been known to dabble in the necromantic arts if I feel a particular thread should raised for posterity, but this usually results in the disturbing side-effect of attracting the Lawful-Stupid Paladins charged with guarding this domain. This tends to be exaggerated by the fact that my prohibited opposition school of Illusion prevents me from making entrances less subtle than a fireworks display.

 

Which leads me to my choice of familar: the jaguar. What better companion to have than one who confers Un-banning Dodge and IP Evasion?
