alanschu Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Hey everyone, Are there any issues with using the downloaded version of NWN2 with a retail (since I can't find a downloaded version on Direct2Drive) version of Mask of the Betrayer. Thanks.
Sand Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 http://store.atari.com/dr/v2/ec_Main.Entry...012&CUR=840 You can get the downloaded version here. Thanks. Direct 2 Drive Neverwinter Nights 2 working with retail Mask of the Betrayer right here. No problems whatsoever. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
jaguars4ever Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Don't worry, it should work just fine, Alan. It's too bad D2D (or any other third party IIRC) doesn't have the digital download license for MotB.
Sand Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I wonder why is that. jaguars4ever Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Probably because Atari like being $$$ grabbers and want to reap the profits in themselves. Now, I have no problem with this, except that it took them 3 or 4 days or something from release to launch their digital download. Compare that with the superior services of D2D, Steam, or Gamersgate where you can pre-order and download the midnight before general release.
Llyranor Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I'm using the Atari digital version, which works fine with D2D vanilla. The Atari retail/digital versions are supposedly the same, including patches and all, aside from copy protection. I wouldn't trust that Tale fellow, though. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)

alanschu Posted October 15, 2007 Author Posted October 15, 2007 Thanks guys. I have exams to finish up this week, but I'll probably pick the game up.
jaguars4ever Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Hehe, I wouldn't even consider playing this game if you remotely have and concurrent academic responsibilities. The atmosphere + writing + score = Kiss your day & night time hours goodbye.
Bokishi Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Haha I'm getting whooped this semester. Although this is my final year, so I should be getting whooped. Then next year I get to go for my MBA and get whooped even harder lol. Current 3DMark
Sand Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 You are going into the MBA? What is your position and which team? metadigital Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I think you're missing the point, my dyslexically illiterate co-dependent; it's not that Bok is some sort of special-purpose reserve for the Basketball Hi-Res shoot-out, but more that the world will enter into shadow once Bok gains an MBA for rendered output ..!
