Atreides
Looks like energy companies from other countries besides China are in on the action. USA's Chevron and France's Total among them. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070929/ap_on_...H5lq7xzsPSs0NUE BANGKOK, Thailand - Just last Sunday Spreading beauty with my katana. Walsingham
French companies make Yankee ones look like kindergarten teachers. EDIT: Incidentally, I've seen reference to 'pro-military militias', in several reports. Any money on these being triads? "It wasn't lies. Atreides
We just needed to send Rambo in. LOS ANGELES - Sylvester Stallone says he and his "Rambo" sequel movie crew recently witnessed the human toll of unspeakable atrocities while filming along the Myanmar border. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071001/ap_en_...bSndXyLT46s0NUE If that's verified that's insane. Sand
I am against US interference in this, for we are too tapped out as it is. Then again, even if we weren't tapped out I would be against US interference because our government has the uncanny ability to make a bad situation even worse. I am not saying that something shouldn't be done, because this is downright evil what the military is doing in this country, it just shouldn't be the US because we will screw it up even more. This is what dictatorship means, kids. You want to rule purely by force and fear of force you have to be brutal. Brutal on a scale and causing such suffering that is natural and PROPER that we should be revolted. Revolted as much as if it were happening to our neighbours and our friends. The militarty intrvention question is moot due to a lack of assets and the death of the dream of intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan. But it is also moot because in my opinion Myanmar is controlled not by a military junta but my the Triad 'mafia' and as such any new regime would merely be undermined from across the border. Tale
This is what dictatorship means, kids. You want to rule purely by force and fear of force you have to be brutal.Go on.Brutal on a scale and causing such suffering that is natural and PROPER that we should be revolted.I can do that! And by "do that," I mean be brutal on such a scale. Not be revolted. It would be silly to be revolted when you're trying to run a brutal dictatorship.
