I remember that there's one hero unit for IG that effectively drops the enemy squad morale to zero. That ability is a game winner.

 

I can't remember if it was the sanctioned psyker or not.

And attach commisars to your guards and during a fight ALWAYS execute.... it makes them push out alot more damage.

 

For Ogryn squads attach priests.
