Just finished kotor2 - played as a good character. Keria told me about my friends etc, what would happen to the republic, died. I appear to have got on the Ebon Hawk and well... left.

 

Is that it? Is that the ending? No talking to the NPC's? No finding out if the remote survived?

 

Or did I miss something?

Sadly, that is the end.I thought they could make the end a bit more exciting.

To meet the release deadline the game was rushed and the ending is one of those things that suffered from that.

But keep an eye on the Restoration Project (sticky in General).

 

They should be done relatively soon (boy; how do I HATE that word due to Kotor2) and should return TSL into (for a large part) what the devs wanted it to be...

^ Relatively soon that means what? I haven't looked at that sticky for a very long time.... No point if I don't have it for PC, yet.

Well, it is just a few months more between your first playthrough and TSL team patch to be tied up and finished.

 

Between my first game and now, it has been a year plus and has been quite a wait. Could almost imagine playing TSL game several times while knowing that it is incomplete, quite hard to get used to. Restarted several times since storyline was hard to grasp without being complete.

I admit the Dark-Side ending is a bit weird, but that's because I don't understand the reason for throwing Kriea into the pit.

Yeah; that must be alot weirder than seeing you being rescued by a destroyed spaceship... and seeing a planet blow up despite the obvious advantage Go-to has... "

Maybe some link as to how Vader threw Palpatine into the Death Star core at the end of RotJ, or whatever the hell it was. I suppose its a sign of apprentice overcomming master, but in the movie wise it was LS overcomming DS, in K2 it was more DarkerDS taking over.

No, I just assumed Bao-Dur to be an absolute genius.

The blowing up was the disappointment.... *rumble fizzle* I was expecting a resounding boom followed by some sort of gravity well caused by the Mass Shadow Generator, that would have been more satisfying. I thought the remote was tampering with G0T0, so I thought G0T0 would blow up due to those security measures he mentioned when first coming aboard. He said the yield was enough to take out a large chunk of a planet at least I think that's what he said.

 

All that and something to do with interfering with his plans for the Republic made me think the ending was as finished as the game could be for 2nd part of a trilogy.

 

I was just glad there was no Droid like chanting, or "welcome back to the order young knight now stand still and smile like an idiot for the closing scene, that's a good puppet".
