Musopticon? Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I vouch for MYSTARY! myself. It's not been "officially announced" yet but it's on it's way. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
kirottu Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Does anyone know on how many games (aside from NWN2) Obsidian currently is working? PG is that Sega game, but what's up with PNJ? Was it turned into PG, or cancelled, or just MYSTARY!?! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Feargus said on some early interview that Obsidian is geared towards running three projects at the same time. I think they finally have hired enough people for three projects... Hopefully. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Morgoth Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Since PNJ is now in development for quite some time, plus powered by UE3, it's certainly about time too leak some tidbits here and there. Come on Feagie, throw us a bone! I miss the good ol' days a'la Kotor2 or the old BIS boards where it never got boring! Now, we can wait like another 6 years a'la Bioware till we get an "Yeah, we currently are exploring the possibilities of making water-ripples Rain makes everything better.
kirottu Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Well, logically, after NWN 2 we should start getting more info about PNJ and PG. I hope. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.

The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
kirottu Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Yes, I think it was. NWN 2(PC), PNJ(Console) and PG(PC and Console). This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Nartwak Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I wonder what the odds are that this is Avellone's High School RPG? Pretty poor I imagine.
Slowtrain Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I'm just pointing out there is as much validity in saying that an original IP is not a good thing for Fergie and Obsidian as there is in saying its a good thing. Based on precedent, in fact, more weight is carried by the former than the latter. Fergie admits as much in the interview. Prove that you can learn from history, great, I hope so. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.
SteveThaiBinh Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Well, logically, after NWN 2 we should start getting more info about PNJ and PG. I hope. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope so too, though Obsidian may not make as clean a break with NWN2 as they did with Kotor2. I don't know what Atari has planned for expansion packs or 'premium modules' or whatever - probably depends on sales of the core game - but Obsidian may not be finished with NWN2 for quite a while yet. I'm looking forward to getting more news about these two other games. I joined too late for the development of Kotor2, and don't visit the Bioware boards ( ), so it'll be nice to be around when developers are discussing their new projects on their own forum. An RPG set in a high school would probably sell very well in Japan, so you never know. :D "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
