Anyone have Heroes V? How well does it run on your rig? I'm considering getting that game for my dad, but his comp isn't the most up to snuff (gfx 5200, 1 gig RAM etc).

...And, for another question, is there a place like Direct2Drive where I can buy a copy?

Remembering tarna, Phosphor, Metadigital, and Visceris.  Drink mead heartily in the halls of Valhalla, my friends!

I'd be surprised if any game was unplayable on a computer like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if HOMM5 eventually ends up on D2D. Ubisoft seems to use it a lot.

I've got the game and it runs with only a few slight hiccups every 10 minutes or so on highest detail settings and I've only got a 1.7GHz P4 and a 9600 Pro.

IMO, the game is not very demanding in terms of hardware. It's quite playable on my sister's old AthlonXP 2000+, 512MB RAM, GeForce3 rig at medium settings with some moderate slowdowns in large scale battles (i.e. during castle sieges).

I have a AMD 3000, 1 GB Corsair Ram, and a 9800 XT and it runs flawlessly on the highest graphic settings if that helps.
