Benfea
I've never had a problem with the movies nor the music. Exactly what issues do the media patches resolve? I looked at the readme files, and they only give instructions on how to install the patches, but no indication of what the heck the patches are for. http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_kotor2_downloads.html Someone wanna clue me in? Deadly_Nightshade
they make them high-rez... "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Benfea
Ah, thanks for the explanation. Since I usually skip the movies, I'll pass on the big downloads. What about the music patches? What do they do?
MarwinElMaco
Ah, thanks for the explanation. Since I usually skip the movies, I'll pass on the big downloads. What about the music patches? What do they do? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In better quality STEREO, not mono as before. Highly recommended if you care about the music in the game. If not then skip it. ps. marcussun made a good rewiev of the media update a while ago. Try to search for it on the forum if you wants more info about it. shadowriath
In makeing the movie patchs they should have fixed the ones that incurrectly displayed the wrong info. Like the Telos landing/leaving cut scene showing your ship in docking bay2..where in game it's docking bay1 that it's in.
markussun
I looked at the readme files, and they only give instructions on how to install the patches, but no indication of what the heck the patches are for. Someone wanna clue me in? I wrote a detailed review about what the media patches do (around 6 months ago). Here is the direct link again: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=37861 Maybe someone should make it sticky. It's true that the patch readme files give no explanation of what the media patches actually do. Gamers who weren't following last year's forum threads here about KotOR2's sound and video issues will be rather clueless and will have a hard time deciding if they should download them or not, given their big size.
