Well, this easter egg is a well known one.

I must have missed it the first few times through. Or at least I wasn't aware of the Jade Empire reference when I found the sword ... still, I vaguely remember it being there ... good find for young Jags!

Jade Empire dosnt have equipment.

But there is an easter egg whereby you can replace the disc with another disc and get another game!

Firstly, JE has equipment.

Secondly, equipment isn't a necessity for easter eggs.
