BastilaShan Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 GeForce 7800GT will it work with KOTOR2? I am looking into getting it thats why!?
BattleCookiee Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Haven't heard complaints that it doesn't. It COULD get you trouble with other games though... (Ofcourse, I base this on thinking you wan't to get a GeForce 7800, not Kotor2)

Gabrielle Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 It's a new up to date video card why wouldn't it work with older games.
Alexei79 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 :D:D I have a really old GeForce 4 MX 440 - 64Mb and I have no problem with kotor2
Deadly_Nightshade Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 (edited) I have a 6800 and it works... (I want a 7800, but am going to wait untill the price goes down) Deadly_Nightshade Edited February 28, 2006 by Deadly_Nightshade "Geez. BattleCookiee Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 :D:D I have a really old GeForce 4 MX 440 - 64Mb and I have no problem with kotor2 Well, ofcourse a card tested with and notified in the readme/trouble shooting guide will work with Kotor2. But it wouldn't be the first time a game wouldn't work with technology made AFTER a game is released. The first GeForce broke quite some games working perfectly well with the Voodoo or TNT... maybe even more than XP I have a 6800 and it works...(I want a 7900, but am going to wait untill the price goes down) Deadly_Nightshade Same as above. (and just to note; the 7900 does not exist ) And third; Why is this one in General now... didn't it start in Technical?
Deadly_Nightshade Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 ...(and just to note; the 7900 does not exist ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanx, I fixed my post... Deadly_Nightshade "Geez. BattleCookiee Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Rumors. And even if they are right, the card does not exist now. You cannot buy one even if you wanted to... "
Bokishi Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 So if you cannot buy something right now it doesn't exist? Oh noes where's my NWN 2 it doesn't exist! Current 3DMark
BattleCookiee Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Indeed NWN2 does not exist yet. Maybe NWN2Beta Version 0.8223935434132 does, but NWN2 does not...
Bokishi Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 It DOES exist it's just not finished yet. Current 3DMark
Marka Ragnos Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 It DOES exist it's just not finished yet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, it is confirmed that they exist. Just not released yet. It's slated to be released sometime in March.
LunarG Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 GeForce 7800GT will it work with KOTOR2? I am looking into getting it thats why!? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it works just fine with KotOR2. Just turn every graphic settig to max, and you'll have the best graphics KotOR2 can offer. 8xFSAA and 16xAF is a bit over the top, and doesn't really make the graphics better... But there sure as hell ain't jo jaggedy edges.
BattleCookiee Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 There is no need for a 7800GT for that Many lower cards can actually display that...
TxShadow Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I run a eVGA Nvidia 7800 GT 256MB PCI Express video card, and it runs the game on all high settings flawlessly. Other system specs are: 1GB Corsair XMS High Performance RAM w/LED lights AMD Athlon 64-bit 4000+ Clawhammer ASUS A8N-32 Deluxe SLI nForce4 MotherBoard Your spec's may be different than mine, but the video will run it very well.

BattleCookiee Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 No...only with Smoke/JJT... but then a better video-card is irrelevant, since it uses CPU power...
Bruno Logan Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I have GeForce Go 7400 AND KOTOR II DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!        Well the game starts but I only listen the music can't see the images. And if i have a lot of patience I can see the things but it goes very slowly. #"!!!$
