Dracorana Posted February 24, 2006 Share Posted February 24, 2006 I played the first KOTOR and loved it, I finally got kotor 2 and I am so hating this game right now Since the game started I haven't been able to use a workbench, or view any missions I am undertaking. Then Kreia stopped talking to me...I got shot down on the polar surface and Bao had to be left there until I found refuge. I go to enter the academy and get part of a cut scene. All I see is two of the handmaiden's from the shoulders down with their staffs approach Bao and then that's it! I get inside my friends are gone. I talk to everyone I can. My friends are not in prison area, the shielded cages are empty. Now I have read about people having similar problems on the pc version, but at least the can download the patches for it. What do the xbox users do? I even rented the game to see if it was my disc before I read about other people having the same problems. Do I just toss it in the trash and cry? Any advice is welcome. Wild Storm Posted February 24, 2006 Share Posted February 24, 2006 Let me guess. You decided to to mean no harm to the Handmaidens, right? Well, Xbox is outta luck for now. After that brief cut scene that I described I am in the academy by myself(playing as a male charecter by the way)with 3 hooded handmaidens in front of me. If I talk to them my options are only; where are my friends where is the ebon hawk I want to fight nothing I don't want to talk anymore(or something like that) If I go and talk to Atris first it brings up some other options, but again nothing that helps. I never got to see the cut scene where my friends are carted off to jail and where Kreia does somthing to Atton, and no handmaidens approach me at all. eta I do have a save right after I crash and defeat the three hk 47's(or 50's, I can't remember which they are)and I have restarted from before the academy there several times trying to talk in different orders and with different options and neither helps. Oh, and Wild Storm? There is no Telos Academy Cheat Node glitch on xbox. I have chosen the "All Right, we mean no harm" option probably fifty times at this point and never once had a problem Back to your xbox, it sounds to me like there is some sort of outside influence messing with the game. Is the disk scratched, do you have a lot of gamesaves on that xbox, how old is it? Has there been a problem with any other games? And last but not least, are you trying to play it on a 360? And last but not least, are you trying to play it on a 360? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a plain old xbox lol, not the 360. I didn't look at the model numbers, but it is the one that was released around Christmas 04 with the top spin/ncaa football 2005 on one disc, not sure if that helps any. I did buy the disc used off of ebay, and while it has some surface scratches none of them look serious enough to be detrimental to game play, but to be on the safe side, and since I assumed it was a disk problem I rented the game today and tried with a different disc only to see the same results. A few days ago I also went and deleted all the old game saves for older games that I am no longer playing, so I don't believe that's the problem either. The games either I or my husband have played recently have been Halo 1 and 2, Fable, Kotor 1, and Crimson Skies all without a single problem. I am really at my wits end, and since I was really enjoying the game before all this frustrating s**t happened I really just don't know what to do. I read some where(don't ask me where since I have been everywhere google will take me looking for an answer to this problem)that you can work through some of the glitches by clearing the cache on the xbox, and to do this you load 3 different games to their start screen before starting the game you want to play, so I am off to try that. Wish me luck! Nicole eta clearing the cache got me the cut scene I needed and brought me right into the conversation with Atris which I always had to start manually before. I am almost afraid to be hopeful but I will continue playing and hope that nothing like this happens again.
