Pidesco Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I'm trying to find a strategy mech PC game from the 90s, of which I only played the demo. I've already searched high and low for such a game but I can't find it. One thing I remember about it though, is that the game used a Hexgrid. Does anyone know of a game that fits the description? Llyranor Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 You mentioned hexgrid. Are you talking about a turn-based game, or real-time? PC? Or console? (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Pidesco Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 PC and turn-based. "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands. Heja Sverige!! Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.

Pidesco Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 No, it was older than that. I think it must have been from 96 or 97. Musopticon? Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Is that(Missionforce, I mean) the first Earth/Starsiege game? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
Berserk Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Is that(Missionforce, I mean) the first Earth/Starsiege game? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's part of the same "universe" but it's a turnbased strategy game where you buy new mechs and train artificially made pilots for your corporate outfit. You also get to fight cybrid forces on different planets.
Musopticon? Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Obviously. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
Berserk Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Therefore it isn't either the first Eartsiege or Starsiege game.
Musopticon? Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 But set in the same continuity and universe? Nitpicking=irrelevant kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Slowtrain Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I still have the CDs to that game. Never liked it very much. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

Slowtrain Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 It came with a second disk, which I think enabled you to do multiplay. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names.
