December 2, 200520 yr Maybe. But we need to have a plan to pull out regardless of what happens. I think even the Bush administration realizes that now. Long wars have never been productive to democratic institutions: if we ravage Iraq we are not helping it along the democratic road because the worse off the living conditions of a country are, the more susceptible the people become to dictators' promises.
