Dances_With_Vibroblades
Have you looked under the "Locations" section of the page. Because that is where information about M4-78 being canon is located.
BattleCookiee
Yes. But M4-78 is just black. Not blue like the Hyperlinks... So no way to get to M4-78 from there
Petay
Battlewookiee, I think that's actually all there is on it right there, that small paragraph of: There originally was going to be a planet called M4-78 which was a world populated by droids. However, because Obsidian was being pressured by Lucasarts to complete KOTOR II, the plans to finish work on the planet were abandoned. Recently however, Star Wars Insider #83 has made the planet and its content canon to the Star Wars universe. It has been acknowledged however that the Jedi Exile never visted the planet. We all already knew that... Edited October 29, 2005 by Petay
BattleCookiee
No, there is a seperate M4-78 page there; somebody linked to it someday, but I can't find it anymore... Or; if that IS indeed all; why not add the story of M4-78, like I made here: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=472875

Dances_With_Vibroblades
Alright, I'm working on creating a page on Wikipedia which provides information about M4-78 and it's association with KOTOR II now. If anyone can provide some information about where the planet is located, what's the total population, and what's the major language there then I believe I'm good to go. Until then most of the information about the planet will remain unknown.
BattleCookiee
The sound files can be heard in my first link in my sig. Here somethings from the Dialog.TLK (This seems to be all; it is; like with the convo's; 3 times in the Dialog.TLK file... (the convo's also have 3 times the same stuff in 3 different places...nice waste of space on your PC )): [This are is filled with radiation that would be fatal to any organic. Lonna and Kaah explained to me how the Sith tricked us and were planning exploit the planet's resources. Above all, I serve the colonists that will one day arrive here. So I agreed to stop the Sith.Kaah told me she was killed defending him. I don't have access to cameras outside of the Environment Zone, so I cannot confirm or deny this claim.I govern the environmental systems on M4-78. This includes wastewater treatment, air quality, and habitat creation.A droid's function is seldom glamorous. Environmental engineering saves more lives then all of the lightsabers and starships combined. Without clean water and air, nothing would survive. That will be the decision of M4-78. With him activated, my authority is very limited again.Yes, I see that IS-24 has authorized this. M4-78 should now be active soon. I will talk with you if you can convince him to allow it.I should be going now.Why did you let the Sith shut down M4-78?Why didn't the Sith control you like they did IS-24?Were you responsible for the radiation?Do you know where Lonna is now? What do you do?That doesn't sound very glamorous. What will you do now that M4-78 is active? Can you reactivate M4-78?You cannot penetrate this force field. I am IS-24, controller of the Industrial Zone of M4-78. What is your request?I will not resist you. Tell me what you want me to do.I cannot do this without the authorization of M4-78.Our last instructions from our masters were to prevent any from reaching the Industrial Core. Our colonists, the Sith, were our masters. We droids were sent to colonize M4-78 many years ago. Only recently did the Sith arrive to claim the planet. Unfortunately, a saboteur recently killed them all. This is the colony M4-78. We droids arrived on this world years ago and began to prepare this world for colonization. I will leave you in peace.Your Master? Who are you?Where is Master Vash?Your Master died for nothing. Your incompetence killed her.I didn't find her body. How do you know she is dead?Maybe your bond was damaged. If she were dead, you would have died as well.(Padawan enters map and charges player.) {1st sentence, matter of fact. 2nd slight concern.}You have found the Force again. And something more I see.Of course you do. But are you certain this is what you want? It is not too late to redeem yourself and rediscover the Light Side.I do not wish to kill you, but I can see the Dark Side in you will not rest without a fight. [Vash becomes hostile]Very well. What do you wish to know?Excellent. I can see there is still much good in you. Now what do you wish to know?{matter-of-fact}You have found the Force again. Are you certain this is what you want? The Dark Side does not have hold of you. You can resist the hatred you feel.I will be heading to Dantooine and wait for the Council to assemble. Are you certain you have no more questions for me before I go?Goodbye then, Jedi.Yes, Jedi. It is dangerous.{smiles}Yes, you have. Thank you for freeing me from this tomb, hospitable though it may be.{smiles}Perhaps not. Thank you for freeing me from this tomb, hospitable though it may be.{smiles}Thank you for freeing me from this tomb, hospitable though it may be.Of course you do. But I cannot discuss that with you unless in the presence of the Jedi Council.{sternly}I will not.It is a normal occurrence between Master and Padawan. Kaah and I are bonded. It is a normal occurrence between Master and Padawan. Kaah and I were bonded. Most of the Jedi have scattered. Anytime the Jedi tried to assemble, they were massacred by the Sith. We had no idea where the attacks were coming from.{smiles}I dislike passivity. Much like another Jedi I know. With the Council's support, I decided to take the fight to the Sith. You should consider what it means to be a Jedi.{slightly sadly}This victory here is all I can claim, and it was Kaah's expertise, not mine, that brought it. The source of the Sith remains unknown to me.I know. I felt it.He is well, but shaken by his experience.Yes, as many Masters and Padawans become with time. The bond can be broken in many ways. If one falls to the Dark Side, the bond may fade and eventually break. This is why, when gripped with fear, Kaah was unable to feel our bond. He assumed I was dead.He is dead. We were mentally bonded.Kaah was pulled to the Dark Side through his fear. He could no longer feel our bond.It is painful to lose one to whom you are bonded. But it is not fatal.{concerned}That is most unnatural. This bond you share with Kreia is not like any I've ever heard of. How did it come to be?{pensive}Look within for the answer. We are each solely accountable for everything in our lives. Nothing ever happens to us unless we allow it.Indirectly, one could say that you brought me here.I learned that a group of Sith came here seeking the one they call the Last Jedi - you. Kaah and I arrived to investigate the situation. We learned that the Sith pretended to be this planet's colonists and began utilizing its resources and industrial power. We could not allow them to create a base here.Kaah is a virtuoso with computers. He managed to slice into the system and flood the Industrial Zone with radiation. The Sith attacked our position before he had finished. I held off the Sith, but they overwhelmed me. When I regained consciousness, I was in this chamber.M4-78 tells me that the guardian droid of the Central Zone placed me here.I cannot explain it.Ask me whatever you wish.I seek revenge for expelling me from the Order.I will redeem my honor by slaying you.I do not want to fight you, but spare me your propaganda.I welcome the opportunity to redeem myself.I seek revenge for expelling me from the Order.I have to leave for now.No, I don't have any other questions.Isn't that dangerous since the Sith always slay the Jedi when they assemble?I am no Jedi.Good luck, Master Vash.I have found much more than that.I never lost it.Hello to you, too, Master Vash.I have questions about my trial on Coruscant. You will answer my questions. Then you will die. [Vash becomes hostile]I understand, Master Vash. What can you tell me about mental bonding between Force Sensitives?Where are the other Jedi? But you weren't hiding...Do you mean me? I am no longer a Jedi.Have your efforts to fight the Sith been successful?Have your efforts been successful?Kaah is dead. You have not asked me about Kaah. Don't you wonder what happened to him?Are the two of you mentally bonded? If Kaah were to die, would you also? How can the bond between Master and Padawan be broken?[Wisdom]Then why did Kaah think you were dead when you weren't?But...you live. Wouldn't you have died with him?My bond to Kreia would result in my death were she to die.I do not know. What brought you to M4-78?How can that be?Then what happened?Go on.How did you end up here?Go on.L5-65? That doesn't make sense...I want to ask you about something else. Edited October 29, 2005 by Battlewookiee

Black_Eye_90
they cut M4-78 out shortly after E3, for a couple of reasons 1. the plot they had planned for it was very reminiscent of peragus 2. They had way to little time 3. Some of the other planets like Nar Shadaa didnt have too much on them so they moved things there ( for example that puzzle at the Nar Shadaa docks was originally on M4-78) so they had to cut the planet for a few reasons but the good news is, were restoring the planet and zll of the content we possibly can on it heres our website if you want to check it out http://www.geocities.com/m4_78/M4-

metadigital
In Lucasfilm's interpretation of the word, it does. Comics are as canonical as the rest of the EU, unless it is explicitely said otherwise (like Star Wars Tales #1-20, which were non-canon; however, Tales #24, which featured Nihilus and Visas, was canonical). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So many mistakes, so little time.
