Spidey Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Hello everyone, I really enjoyed the music in KOTOR 2 and was wondering where I could possibly get all of the music. Any help Aprreciated.
dufflover Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 (edited) Tried a search yet (and wait for more than hour next time...) Anyway, you can get it from the game files by either playing them with WinAmp (well, anything other than Windows Media Player ). If you want to use Windows Media Player or burn them to an audio CD or whatever, download Miles Sound Studio utility (freeware) and that can convert the tracks to normal WAV format to manipulate. You'll also want to download the High Quality music before doing this as well. Krookie Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I've got the X-Box version. I play with my own music.
Nur Ab Sal Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 You can download "Sith Lords Complete Soundtrack" on EMule. It includes tracks that aren't present in streammusic and didn't make it to the game. HERMOCRATES: Nur Ab Sal was one such king. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well aligned. SOCRATES: This I doubt. We are hearing a child's tale.
BattleCookiee Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Well, best thing first is to have the Music patch from Nzone. Then use WinAmp to play them off... (Just as a word of advice: Copy them somewhere else and rename them *.mp3 before playing them... play them as *.wav once to know why )
dufflover Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I only have the Xbox version. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doesn't matter. The music "patch" you download is just an executable RAR archive, which means you can download the file, and just use WinRAR (I think running it in an empty temp folder will also extract it properly) and extract the music files. The only problem is that I don't know if all the included tracks with the game are replaced by the patch, so you may or may not be missing some. I'm sure someone can fill in for me here. Spidey Posted October 9, 2005 Author Posted October 9, 2005 WOW! Thanks, this is the first place that people actually helped. Im gonna try the Nzone thing. Thanks a lot everyone.
Spidey Posted October 9, 2005 Author Posted October 9, 2005 Im having trouble changing them to mp3's, I tried renaming it already and all i still get is static.
BattleCookiee Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Easiest way; Copy all the files into an easy to find map, like C:/K2 Music... (XP): Open the DOS-command... (Start, programs, burea-something) Incase it NOT displays only C:\> type "C:\" (without quotes) Then use CD K2 music (or instead of K2 music the map you use) After that use "Rename *.wav *.mp3" (without quotes) Now you they are all MP3 and can be run in WinAmp...
Spidey Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 (edited) To be honest with you, i cannot find a single one of those. Edited October 10, 2005 by Spidey
Spidey Posted October 11, 2005 Author Posted October 11, 2005 To be honest with you, i cannot find a single one of those. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O.K. I got the demo for MSS6 how do I change it.
BattleCookiee Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 To be honest with you, i cannot find a single one of those. O.K. I got the demo for MSS6 how do I change it. I have no idea what you are talking about... Care to explain?
Spidey Posted October 11, 2005 Author Posted October 11, 2005 Oh, i tried to quote the comment about miles sound system, but i might rather try your 'dos' thing but i cant understand it. Also, renaming the file does nothing.
BattleCookiee Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 If renaming doesn't work look in extra's/options for "Hide extension for known file types", then de-select that... Maybe then you can change them. And my "dos" stuff is just following the instructions once you find the command prompt... (which is hidden quite well...)
Spidey Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 I finally got it to work. Thank all of you for helping (especially battlewookie) Ive been trying to get this for weeks. Im gonna stay on these forums now. Im so happy.
Masta Revan Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 (edited) is this the patch from nzone cause if it is after you download it dose it have lord Niluse in the front as the cover of the file. then you click on it and it will say installing after you install what do you do. can you run it on windows media player? BattleCookiee Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Read the thread, and you will understand...
automaticjoy Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 sorry for digging up and old topic, but I absolutely HAVE to have these, and am having difficulties. I have reached the command prompt on DOS and from there I am fairly well at a loss. I've tried everything and every variation I could think of and nothing appears to work... I just get syntax errors. Please help. Perhaps moe details on what to do from here.....
BattleCookiee Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Syntax errors? What I would suggest is: Copy the music to C:\KOTOR2Music, then load the Dosbox and type; CD C:\ CD KOTOR2Music Rename *.wav *.mp3 *Done*
automaticjoy Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 thank you so much! This is really going to be great, and is something I've wanted since I got the game over a year ago. One thing though... Sion's theme appears to be missing... unless I've overlooked something
Maedhros Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 If I recall correctly you can find Sion's theme at Mark Griskey's homepage.
Vlork Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 You can download "Sith Lords Complete Soundtrack" on EMule. It includes tracks that aren't present in streammusic and didn't make it to the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Could you please give a link? I just looked and couldn't find it.
