No, Lightsaber profencies and Melee are different...

Which isn't that weird when you consider the fact that lightsabers blade is weightless, needing an entirely separate kind of training to handle. On the other hand it's odd that melee damage by lightsabers is governed by strenght.

And so is the attack roll ... unless you take finesse (which I always do).

It's interesting that DEX applies to chance to hit when having Melee Weapon Finesse, no Lightsaber Finesse needed.
